Sneak Peek:

I’m realizing life doesn’t have a “normal” right now… nor will it for the foreseeable future. I guess when you have as much life going on as we seem to have, you take it one day at a time. Really, that’s not a bad way to do life in general, but it has been an especially significant lesson applied in this season.
Joanna and I are so excited to meet our daughter someday in the next few weeks. We told her we would like to meet up on the 20th, but she wants to play it by ear. Joanna has been such a gracious and beautiful pregnant wife. I don’t think I’m going to like the whole/labor pain thing; especially when there isn’t a dang thing I can do to fix it. But we can’t wait to meet our little Spraguer!
We closed on a house a few weeks back. Totally a blessing from God. We have been in renovation mode ever since. I’ve found that a crash course in home remodeling has been pretty fun actually… and should be considered a part time job. Looks like it should be ready to move in around the same time Baby Sprague comes. It will be fun to see which one comes first or if they happen at the same time! I promise I won’t let Joanna lift any boxes to induce J.
It also happens to be spring time here in Phoenix. When we moved here, our good friends the Steenhoeks warned us that we should clear our calendar this time of year… it’s when the friends and family start racking up their Sprague Reward Points. That advice has proven to be true. And we love it! We love having people come stop in on our lives, forcing us to do some different stuff, and hopefully to enjoy this place we call home. Phoenix really is a great city (and Arizona a wonderful state… Happy Centennial Old Friend!). Between the end of Feb. and the end of March, we’ll have had 11 different visitors, some for a meal and some for a week or more. That is not including all the eager family members who will be coming to hold our little girl in between diaper changes. We are blessed with some really great people in our lives and love that we get to connect like this.
At the same time, Joanna continues to teach (2 more weeks!) and I am continuing to figure out what it means to be a full time photographer. I’m not sure that class ends anytime soon J. But it is a humbling and trusting experience that even as I type this, I realize I am grateful for. So there are some things I am hoping to do as I continue to try and be a better photographer. One of those things is getting more of our fantastic clients on this site. We have had the opportunity over the past year+ to capture breathtaking moments and stories. Our brides and grooms are seriously the best and this space is meant to share some of those moments. It should be fun, and more than just a sneak peek. If you get a chance to see them, let us know what you think.
But in the end, we are taking it one day at a time and learning to be content with what the day gives us; whether that be a home, a friend, a beautiful picture, or the most precious little girl.
